The roof replacement at North Witchford Lodge, a Livesmart scheme supporting 21 residents, has made a significant difference following more than two years of ongoing roof issues. Persistent leaks had affected residents’ homes and communal areas, with the residents’ lounge unable to be used fully for much-loved activities such as weekly bingo and card sessions.
The Equans led project involved the phased replacement of around 500sqm of roofing across the upper, mid and main flat roofs, along with all 16 skylights. Three first-floor windows were also replaced, while improvements to the lounge included new rooflight openings to bring in more natural light.
The works also included internal making-good and redecoration to the communal entrance and lounge, alongside a new front entrance canopy, helping to create a brighter and more welcoming environment for residents.
Most importantly, residents can now enjoy dry, comfortable homes and a revitalised communal lounge. The space has been transformed into a bright, welcoming area where residents can come together and socialise, with regular activities able to return
