Pitt Crescent, Merton

The project will deliver a comprehensive programme of refurbishment and improvement works across the estate.

Works in progress at Pitt Crescent

The works will comprise roof replacement including removal of existing tiles, battens and felt, renewal of lead flashings, replacement of rainwater goods, and insulation upgrades to roof spaces. All windows will be replaced with new double-glazed uPVC units to improve thermal performance, reduce noise, and assist in reducing condensation-related issues.

A key constraint at the estate is the proximity of Network Rail lines to the rear of two blocks, requiring full approval prior to scaffold erection. Where permitted, scaffolding will be subject to ongoing inspection by Network Rail operatives for the duration of the works.

Social Value Planning for Pitt Crescent

As major works progress at Pitt Crescent, careful social value planning helps ensure that improvements deliver meaningful benefits for residents and the wider community. This video explores the approach to identifying opportunities that support local people throughout the project, from community engagement to long-term positive outcomes.

Delivered by the main partner, United Infrastructure, on behalf of Clarion, this work reflects a shared commitment to creating lasting social value alongside the physical improvements, helping to strengthen communities while enhancing homes and neighbourhoods.
