We're pleased to let residents know that improvement works at McLellan House are due to begin on 26 October 2026 and are expected to be completed by January/February 2027.

These works are part of our ongoing investment programme to improve the condition, appearance and energy efficiency of your home while preserving the character of the building.

What work will be taking place?

Our contractor will be carrying out a range of improvements, including:

  • Replacing existing single-glazed timber windows with new double-glazed uPVC windows designed to closely match the existing appearance. As the building is located within a conservation area, the new windows will have a wood-effect brown finish to maintain the character of the property.
  • Replacing rear patio doors where required.
  • Replacing the communal entrance door with a new timber door to match the existing design.
  • Disconnecting and reconnecting the door entry system while the entrance door is replaced.

What are the benefits?

These improvements will help to:

  • Improve energy efficiency and reduce heat loss.
  • Increase comfort by reducing draughts.
  • Improve the security and reliability of windows and entrance doors.
  • Reduce future maintenance requirements.
  • Preserve the appearance of the building while providing modern, durable materials.

What to expect

To complete the works safely, our contractor will need access to residents' homes to replace windows and patio doors. Appointments will be arranged in advance, and we'll provide plenty of notice before work begins.
